
Tia Belotte
Tia Belotte was born and raised in Massachusetts. At Tufts University, she is pursuing a degree in Biochemistry with interests in also studying Africana Studies while being on the pre-med track. On campus, she is involved with MARCH, a club that focuses on maternal health advocacy and education on the undergrad level and is the current co-president. She is also involved in biochemical research at the Scheck Lab, focusing on post translation modifications of proteins, specifically looking at protein glycation, a process which is connected to diabetes, Alzheimer’s Disease, and aging. Off campus, she works at CVS as a pharmacy technician and teaching science to young girls as a mentor through Science Club for Girls. Tia is excited to be part of the MOTHER Lab Team and build a better understanding of maternal health issues while also being able to contribute to maternal health research.
