Shriya Dodwani
Shriya graduated with High Distinction from the University of Virginia in May of 2021. During her time at UVA, she studied international relations and national security policy with hopes of attending law school upon graduation. However, when COVID hit during her semester abroad, Shriya’s interest in public health was heightened. She spent the year after graduation in a career-changer post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at the University of Louisville. After completing the program in a year, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she currently works as a Medical Assistant in dermatology. Her primary interests lie in women’s reproductive healthcare equity and policy, a passion she intends to pursue in medical school next fall. Outside of advocating for reproductive justice, Shriya can be found at a hot yoga class or exploring D.C.’s restaurant scene. She is incredibly excited to be joining the intelligent women of the MOTHER Lab and working in the Community Engagement, Advocacy, and Policy division!
