Tania Duncan

Research Assistant

Tania Duncan is a Regis College Alumnae; holding a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and minor certificate in public health. Prior to gaining experience in the nursing profession, Tania was a birth doula and certified nursing assistant. Following her entry into the profession and experience in intermediate care, Tania resumed her career in travel nursing. While traveling she had the pleasure of working at various hospitals within Massachusetts where she gained experience in a wide range of medical surgical subspecialties. Her various areas of experience provided acumen in clinical care and hospital policies but also insight on many of the obstacles that intercept the best possible outcomes for people of color.

Her interests in the M.O.T.H.E.R. lab stem from her aspiration to dive into health disparities and focus on maternal health. Her goal is to not only pivot her career towards maternal health, research and education but also be apart of an amazing team thats sole mission is to make a positive impact. She desires to contribute to the implementation of interventions, education and preventative programs that would aide in progress within maternal health and the disparities that exist within healthcare. In the future, she’d like to take what she will learn and find the best possible way to perfect health care and education in the West Indies; specifically her ancestral country of Grenada.

Born and raised in Boston, she is ecstatic about joining a movement that began right in her hometown! In her free time she loves to try something new and bold, take long drives and listen to podcasts & audio books of all genres.
